Assessment has a profound influence on the motivation and
self-esteem of learners – both of which have crucial influences
on learning. The assessment pattern in our curriculum is a
combination of formative and summative assessment. There will be
an assessment of the learning outcome after completion of every
unit which will be followed by the mid-term and term-end
examinations.
At Kaanger Valley Academy, we follow a “Three-tier System” of
Grading: Self Assessment, Peer Assessment and Teacher’s
Assessment; with a comprehensive continuous evaluation pattern.
Evaluation in school is done with the help of Grading System
right up to class 8th with the average of the best 5 tests out
of 7 tests in primary and best 4 out of 5 in secondary sections
in major subjects conducted in each term will be taken into
consideration for Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). The assessment in the
secondary and senior secondary
classes are in line with CBSE norms.
